Kristin went above and beyond to make sure our photo shoot, turn surprise proposal, turn engagement photos came out absolutely perfect! She gave suggestions for a great location, accommodated a last minute schedule change due to weather, and even gave us a ride back to our car from Ke'e beach since we missed the last shuttle ride. The pictures came out absolutely stunning with the Napali coast in the background during a gorgeous sunset. My new fiance and I couldn't be any happier with everything Kristin did to capture the moment!

We visited Kauai in August of 2019 and booked Kristin to take family photos and some extra ones of our senior in high school. Kristin was great with communicating with us before, during, and after our trip. She spent a long time with us getting the perfect sunset shots and making sure our family felt comfortable and happy with the session. I can't even tell you how gorgeous these photos came out! Kristin did a great job photographing our family of eight adults and an easily distractible two year old. Her suggestion of location was perfect, and her methods of capturing a two year old's attention resulted in some gorgeous photos. The pictures look great and the edits were perfect, thank you, you far exceeded our expectations, I had no idea that such edits could be done and come out looking like the picture was taken like that, definitely a skill. Visited Kauai for the first time and wanted to take my engagement pictures during my vacation. I initially found Swell Photography on Pinterest and contacted about eight photographers. I choose swell amongst all the Kauai photographers because the price was very reasonable, included free download of the pictures and touch-up. I truly felt comfortable when Kristen (Swell Photographer/owner) called me after my initial inquiry email to answer any questions, locations and ideas, she exemplified the Aloha spirit.



When we arrived in Kauai, the weather was not in my favor on my booked session. No worries, Kristen accommodated my request to move the session. Additionally, my fiancée and I decided to bring our wedding gown and suit to Kauai, so we can take pre-wedding pictures instead. If your getting married, take as many pictures in your wedding dress because the day of the wedding is not enough time.



So I choose to take my pictures 1 hour before sunset on the South side at Mahaulepu Beach. Kristen got pictures with the mountains behind us, sail boat, black rock, sand, oceans and etc. All the pictures turned out perfect without touch ups but I did get some touch ups with my hair and people in the background.
